Sheet Molding Plastic Sheet Molding Compound is a kind of molding plastic for the manufacture of unsaturated polyester FRP products by one thousand processes. Composition of SMC molded sheet: the middle core is composed of cut fibers (or felt) fully impregnated with resin paste, and the upper and lower sides are covered with film. The resin paste contains unsaturated polyester resin, initiators, chemical thickeners, low shrinkage additives, fillers, mold release agents, colorants and other components. The production and molding process is generally as follows: chopped raw yarn felt or glass fiber coarse fiber is laid on the film evenly coated with resin, and then another film coated with resin paste is covered on it, forming a kind of "sandwich" structure. It passes through the impregnation zone when the resin paste and the glass fiber (or felt) are fully kneaded and then integrated into the roll for the necessary curing treatment.
